Ladies and gentleman,

We’re very sorry to make this announcement, but we do feel like it’s better off this way.

Before the Order is closing down.

Ashley and myself, Mesha, as main admins, have been struggling to find time to invest in this project we started only a few months ago and it’s proved to be rather difficult. We truly wish we could do better, but truth is - it’s just too damn hard to keep up with a normal schedule.

We do, however, love this group quite a lot and handing administration over to someone else simply doesn’t sit well with us; it is true that this group grew and kept strong because of our members, but we nurtured and created it from zero so… well, I do hope you can understand how letting someone else take over would simply be weird for us.

This is why we have decided to close the group, but beware, closing it does not mean we’re canceling / deleting it. No… quite far from that, actually.

From this moment on, Before the Order will be a closed group - this means no promotion will be made for new characters or players, and only those already within the group can continue to play as you still have through the last couple of weeks.

New players may audition under the premise their application may take a while to be processed (the rules will be overlooked and changed to fit this new decision) though no new characters will be created.

A new administrator will be appointed to take care of events the group may need / suggest (like the Masquerade ball that was suggested this afternoon) and Ashley and I will come in seldom (like we have) to take care of minor tweaks and things that may come up. Personally, I can still RP on my (although rare) spare time and may come and post for you all every now and then.

That being said, I hope you all continue to enjoy this group and… well, who knows. Maybe once our schedules quiet down a little, we may be able to kick this back into rear (:

As you all may have noticed, activity has greatly declined over the past couple of weeks.

To begin, Mesha and I both wish to apologize for our lack of activity. Mesha has just started school again and I’m getting ready to return/have been working a lot/am being bogged down with a social life. We promise that both of us are doing our best to find the necessary free time to continue being your admins. This group is absolutely lovely and we do very much want it to survive.

With that being said, we just want to make a few general notes regarding activity here at Before The Order.

If you find yourself busier than usual or something comes up, we encourage you to send a message to the main blog explaining your situation. Without notifying us, after one week of inactivity, we’ll send you a message. If you do not reply to said message within four days, we’ll have to reopen your role. We do hope that everyone is able to stay on, however we are aware that real life has the tendency to get in the way.

If you’re struggling to remain active because you don’t have anyone in the group to associate with IC, then reach out! We’re all quite friendly and it’s never hurt to message someone and ask for a plot or para. We want everyone here to feel included.

With that being said, you may be wondering where some of our members have gone.

Here are the members who have notified us that they shall be away, but have every intention of returning:

Hello everyone! This is a formal announcement from your main admin, Mesha.

As most of you probably noticed, I have been entirely too busy with real life stuff that I honestly have no control over… I never even decided to get a social life to begin with, but alas, it simply happened.

I’m aware of the fact that I haven’t been paying enough attention here and haven’t even busied myself with doing activity checks, reopening characters, creating new ones and all of that - I really haven’t an excuse other than being busy, but this group has always been one of my priorities so I promise I’ll get to work on it soon enough.

I officially restart college tomorrow and, while I may be slightly busier than normal, I also hope I’ll be able to just jump around as per usual during the evenings. Hopefully the case of me being completely absent won’t happen.

As always, I highly encourage your activity and am thankful for everyone being so nice and cooperative. I promise this will be the last time I slack off. I love you all and thanks a lot for sticking to this group - you’ve made it awesome yourselves and I hope we only go up from here.

Congratulations to Ravenclaw on their victory against Slytherin!

The much awaited match couldn’t have been anymore exciting! Both teams did their best job and their training and preparation was evident (hint hint Gryffindors!). It was a very heated match though we all would have liked it to last a little longer - the Ravenclaw Seeker did a wonderful job at catching the Snitch in almost record time. Regardless, all of the players did an excellent job today!

The final score was 160 - 50.

A wild social life appeared!
